Walkersville Walking Tour, October 2015

On a beautiful fall afternoon, Society Members, Florence Schell and Bonnie Leins, dressed in period clothing and conducted a history walk through the quaint streets of historic Walkersville. Bonnie led the walking tour and Florence presented her antique hat collection and described three women who operated Milliner shops in town during the early 20th century. A Milliner designed hats similar to the hats Florence and Bonnie wore for the event. The event was requested by the Walkersville Library Youth Group Leader and advertised through the library.
